This article is both relevant to my research project, as well as personal. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease myself, and am always looking for more and more research on the topic. I also am going to be a dietitian and would like to keep up with different diseases in the field.

This article is a lot of statistics and results. I find it easy to read because I like numbers. The general public may find it a little less straightforward and a little more dull and scientific.

· Brief Summary:
This article was describing results of a study set out to determine whether having irritable bowel syndrome increased the chances of having Celiac disease. It was reported that there was not a correlation between the two.

1) ROME II: criteria to help in the diagnosis and treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders.
2) ESR: erythrocyte sedimentation rate. A test that indirectly measures how much inflammation is in the body.
3) Sigmoidoscopy: examines the large intestine from the rectum; only examines up to the sigmoid and not the whole bowel like a colonoscopy.
· Detail the strengths/weaknesses of this article.
Strengths of this article include having a lot of numerical data and results. However, its weakness is definitely being vague and not explaining a lot of things in depth.
· How might this article be useful to you in your further studies and career?
This article useful or will be in my career because I will be dealing with a lot of Celiac patients and Irritable Bowel Syndrome patients.
· Does the article include a list of references/citations that can be used to find more information on the topics they cover? Yes, but not nearly as many as other articles I have reviewed.
